Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What happens if the downloaded MP3 sounds like it is skipping or isn’t playing correctly?
A.Depending on your connection speed and clarity, MP3 tracks can become corrupt while downloading. If you believe that the track you downloaded is faulty, please send me an e-mail and I'll see that you get another file as replacement.

Q. What if I ordered all 9 MP3s, but my computer craps out in the download and I only get 50% of what I paid for?
A. Your entry to the secure download area will be valid long enough for you to attempt multiple download sessions if your computer fails.

Q. What is an MP3?
A. An MP3 is an electronic file format for digitally encoded music. You can download the music electronically and play it from your computer, an MP3 player like the iPod, or burn it to a CD with other tunes you have legally purchased.

Q. How come when I click on the headphones icon on the order page, I only get about 30 seconds of music?
A. The headphones icon is only a 30-second sample of the music to enable you to determine if you like the song or not. Once you process the order through PayPal, you will get the entire download.

Q. Why do I have to input private information into PayPal in order to buy your CD?
A. PayPal is a reputable and efficient payment-processing business that helps small and independent companies like Deedop music process internet-based purchases.

Q. Is my private information safe once I put it into PayPal?
A. Yes, just take a look at their Privacy Policy.

Q. Once I download the MP3, can I copy it to other media and do what I want with the music?
A. No, the music is protected by copyright. You are actually infringing on the author’s rights by copying the music. You hurt all current and future artists when you do this.

Q. The music sounds like it could be part of a film score. Have you thought about composing for the movies?
A. Yes, ask Dan Gold, winner of the 2002 Sundance Film Festival Cinematography Award, about the movie score possibilities.

Q. Is the Gold ‘n Teasdale band available for hire?
A. Yes.

Q. What if the CD isn’t what I expected when I listen to it?
A. We have provided you with sample MP3s to help you make that determination. Please don’t buy it if you don’t like the sample.

Q. Is the percussionist Doug Dreishpoon the same person who is a curator and responsible for such art shows as “The Tumultuous Fifties: A View From the New York Times Photo Archives” and “Edwin Dickinson: Dreams and Realities”?
A. Yes, same guy. Pretty talented, huh.
